Gravel Route
Short variation of Breda gravel ride “the regular”
Route Description
My go-to gravel route for a quick 1,5 to 2 hour gravel loop. Over the years I’ve made many variations of this, trying to combine many of the close-by gravel patches into one short gravel route south of Breda. This is a short version of the result of these many variations. About 50-50 of paved vs unpaved paths that take you out on a ride you can enjoy pretty much all year round.
The route starts from Kamu bikes & coffee and heads south west to “the Vloeiweide” near Rijsbergen. After a beautiful gravel loop through the forest there you ride east, shortly crossing the Dutch/Belgian border. My favorite gravel patch in the Elsakker is included and after you finish this, the route takes you back home to Breda through the natural park at Strijbeek.
- Tip: The route starts and ends at Kamu bikes & coffee, which is a great cycling inspired place to fill-up or rest-up.
- Tip: This is a nicely accessible route in any season or weather. So be sure to save it if you live in the area or visit regularly.
